Is there any change in the "Registration Fee" for letters and bulk bag etc ?

No, there is no change in "Registration Fee". It is Rs.15/- for letter and Rs.75/- for bulk bag

Whether the revised rates are uniform for all the countries ?

Yes. The revised rates are uniform for all the countries except for the service, Postcard and Airmail Post Card

What is the maximum weight limit for "Bulk Bag"

The maximum weight limit for bulk bag is 30 kg

What is the maximum limit for the service "Printed Paper"

The maximum weight limit for the service
"Printed Paper" is 2 kg

What is the alternative service in case the weight of document is more than 2 kg ?

In case the weight of the document increases 2 kg, then alternative service like Bulk Bag or Parcel can be used

What are the countries for which SAL service is used for letter post items ?

There are four countries namely USA, UK, Germany and Singapore for which this service is available

Whether the existing special rates for SAL will apply even now ?

No. The separate rates for SAL service have been discontinued. Now the revised surface rates will apply alongwith air surcharges @ Rs.4/- per 20 grams

There were two types of services for "Bulk
Bag"
1.  Containing Registered  Newspapers only
2.  Containing printed matter with or without registered newspaper
      Please clarify whether there is only one service now

Yes. The Service has been merged as single service named "Bulk Bag" now

Previously, a document weighing upto 5 kg could be sent through the service, "Printed Paper". Now, this service is available only for packet weighing upto 2000 grams. What are the options now for sending similar packets weighing more than 2000 grams, say 5 kg and how much would it cost ?

Packet weighing more than 2000 grams may be sent through the service "Bulk Bag/Parcel". For a packet weighing 5 kg being sent through the "Bulk Bag" service, the cost would be Rs.350/-. The customer would find this rate to be cheaper than the same weight being sent through "Printed Paper" (Rs.430). However, "Printed Paper" category of service is available only for a weight upto 2000 grams
